GAIBANDHA, NOV 03, 2022 (BSS)- Union Digital Center (UDC) of Kamarjani Union under Sadar upazila in the district has been providing various types of e-services to the rural people of grass root level easily.
Mahbubur Rahman, entrepreneur of the center said the center started its journey in 2010 in the name of Union Information Service Center (UISC) and then it was turned into Union Digital Center (UDC) in 2017.
Since its starting the center has been providing need base e-services to the people of the union and its surrounding areas.
The e-services include birth, death and citizen certificates, mobile banking, admission to school, college and universities, trade license, land recording (Parcha and mutation), photo copy composing, sending money, receiving money, video-calling, web browsing, computer training, electricity bill payment, knowing results of exams, job searching, he also said.
All sorts of services are provided to the people with following TCV(short time, short cost and short visit) he added.
Almost all services are ensured for the people from the center, he said adding that sometimes a number of services are given the people going to their houses based on the demand of the service receivers in nominal cost.
Al-Mahmud, an inhabitant of nearby Malibari union of the upazila said, We always get our need base e-services from the UDC without any hassle, that is why we are so much satisfied with the service delivery of the UDC run by A2i programme of Prime Minister’s office.
Matiar Rahman, chairman of the union parishad said for providing desired e-services to the people of grass root level here, the UDC earned the honor of being one of the best centers in the country a few years back.
He also urged the people to visit the center and to receive the e-services from it in nominal cost in easy way.
Very recently, an amount of money came through online from Chittagong. Later entrepreneur Mahabub of the UDC went to house of the recipient and gave her the amount of the money using digital way. In this way, the UDC is being more popularized day by day to the people, he concluded.
