Out of 13 union parishads of Gaibandha Sadar upazila, 12 newly elected UP chairmen and UP members of 13 unions have been sworn in. His swearing in has been postponed as the chairman of Ramchandrapur Union of the upazila is in jail.

Gaibandha Deputy Commissioner at the swearing-in ceremony at the District Shilpakala Academy auditorium on Wednesday noon. Abdul Matin first administered the oath to the chairmen. They are- Lakshmipur UP Chairman. Abul Kalam Azad, Malibari UP Shoaib Md. Russell, said Kuptala UP. Rafiqul Islam Sarkar Tara, Sahapara UP. Moshiur Rahman Sarkar Mithul Master, Md. Ballamjhar UP. Zulfiqar Rahman, Md. Badiakhali UP. Safayetul Haque Pavel, said Boali UP. Shahidul Islam Sabu, Md. Kholahati UP. Masum Haqqani, Md. Ghagoa UP. Aminur Zaman Rinku, Md. Gidari UP. Harunur Rashid Edu, said Kamarjani UP. Matiar Rahman and Mollarchar UP. Saiduzzaman Sarkar. His swearing in has been postponed as the chairman of Ramchandrapur Union is in jail.

155 reserved women and general members of 13 unions of Gaibandha Sadar Upazila took oath.
